*112 on cell phone

Submitted by Francis

Good info to have if u are not sure if an umarked car with flashing lights is really the police !!

Some knew about the red light on cars, but not the *112.

It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARK ED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren's parents have always told her never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc.

Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called *112 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way.

Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the car and tackled him to the ground.

The man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes. I never knew about the *112 Cell Phone Feature, but especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an unmarked car. Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going to a safe place. *Speaking to a service representative at ** Bell ** Mobility confirmed that *112 was a direct link to State trooper info. So, now it's your turn to let your friends know about *112.

You may want to Send this to every woman (and man) you know; it may save a life. This applies to ALL 50 states

Thank You,
Francis

Please Pray

Submitted by Francis

Dear friends and relatives,

I need your prayers for our little boy Adrian Fontecha, our youngest grandson. He turned 3 years old last Dec. 2. He has been in and out of the hospitals (Vegas and California) for the last 3 weeks now. When the first CT scan and MRI was done in Vegas it showed some fluid in his brain and the Vegas doctors decided for a shunt operation. But my daughter Marla and her husband decided to bring him to California for a 2nd opinion. A team of California doctors from different areas of medicine are now doing more tests before they do the procedure. They wanted to make sure that there are no viruses inside his body before they put a foreign object in. What will happen is, if his body is infected when the shunt is inserted, then the catheter will be infected also and must be removed before it damages his body. . Before they perform the surgery, he must be free of any viruses and infections.

Doctors also found a high level of inflamed WBC, so they admitted him to do more tests. They will give him IV later because they need to sedate him for the spinal tap again tomorrow, then perhaps another CT or MRI and more blood work. Doctors are looking deeper on his condition. The headaches are now gone and we are all thankful for the Lord for sending the good doctors and staff to take care of Adrian.

Please pray for his recovery and pray harder if you must. God welcomes all types of prayers.

We thank the Lord also for having you all as part of our family and friends,

Thank you,

Cleansing Your Kidneys

Submitted by Francis

An economical way of maintaining good health. Pls try this for great health benefit and thus great health is great wealth.

Dr. Abdullah Q Turkistani

CLEAN YOUR KIDNEYS FOR LESS THAN $1.00

Years pass by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt, poison and any unwanted entering our body. With time, the salt accumulates and this needs to undergo cleaning treatments and how are we going to overcome this?

It is very easy, first take a bunch of parsley and wash it clean

Then cut it in small pieces and put it in a pot and pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down and then filter it and pour in a clean bottle and keep it inside refrigerator to cool.

Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before.

Parsley is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural!

Please forward to all your friends!

A different way to display time on the green time line.. This is a really interesting clock! It comes from a Dutch web site. Here is what you will see when you look at this clock. Don't do anything. It's automatically adjusted to your time zone. Just look at it and study it. It gives you the EXACT TIME of the DAY in seconds, minutes, hours, the day, month and year. Just read the green line. Everything's there. Study it for a few seconds and it will all come clear to you.

Remember these definitions:
1st Line is Seconds
2nd Line is Minutes
3rd line is Hours.
4th Line is Days
5th Line is Months
6th Line is Years

A Very SHORT LOVE STORY

Submitted by Francis

A man and a woman who had never met before, bt who were both married to other people, found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a Trans-continental train.

Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly, he in the upper berth and she in the lower.

At 1:00 AM, the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold.'

'I have a better idea,' she replied 'Just for tonight, let's pretend that we're married.'

'Wow!!! That's a great idea!', he exclaimed.

'Good,' she replied. 'Get your own fucking blanket.'

After a moment of silence, he farted.

The End

In California, the "Move-over" law became operative on January 1, 2010.

The cost of the ticket was $754, with 3 points on your license and a mandatory court appearance

Important Law to Share:

I wanted to let my Medlock Bridge neighbors know about the CA move over law. My son got a ticket on Pleasant Hill coming back from Wal-Mart. A Duluth police car (turned out it was 2 police cars) was on the side of the road giving a ticket to someone else. My son slowed down to pass but did not move into the other lane. The second police car immediately pulled him over and gave him a ticket. My son and I had never heard of the law. It is a fairly new law that states if any emergency vehicle is on the side of the road, if you are able, you are to move into the far lane.

The cost of the ticket was $754, with 3 points on your license and a mandatory court appearance.

Please let everyone you know that drives about this new law. It is true (see details at the following web address). It states that except two states, all the other US states (even Canada ) enacted similar kind of law.

WHY PARENTS ARE ALWAYS STRESSED

My dear family and friends,

As children, the holidays were a time of brightly wrapped gifts, family traditions and home-baked treats. As adults, the holidays offer much more than that. They provide us with an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, to reflect on the successes and challenges of the past year, and to give thanks to God and for those who have inspired us or in some way contributed to our lives.

This holiday season I ask you to give yourself a gift – the gift of knowing that you’ve done an absolutely phenomenal job this year. We’ve faced many challenges together in 2009 - challenges beyond our control. Not us. In the face of the worst economic crisis of our time, we stood tall and we made it through to the other side. Not only did we survive, we thrived – exceeding everyone’s expectations. This is a true testament of our strength..

Maintaining work-life balance has been challenging to say the least and I encourage you to take this holiday season to hit your personal reset buttons – slow down, relax and rejuvenate. Focus on what is most important to you and spend time with your family and friends.

As we continue on the journey to improve our lives ahead, I urge you to remember that we are all competing in a marathon, not a sprint. Those who finish strong will be those who took care of themselves mentally and physically before the race, then paced themselves all the way to the finish line. And, while we are nearing the end of 2009, our marathon continues.

Once again, thank you for being such a valuable part of our family and friends.

Wishing you a very happy holiday season, from my family to yours,

Trust God,

Thank you,

Commentary of the day

Vatican Council II : "Doing the will of my Father"

Reading

Is 26:1-6.
On that day they will sing this song in the land of Judah: "A strong city have we; he sets up walls and ramparts to protect us. Open up the gates to let in a nation that is just, one that keeps faith. A nation of firm purpose you keep in peace; in peace, for its trust in you." Trust in the LORD forever! For the LORD is an eternal Rock. He humbles those in high places, and the lofty city he brings down; He tumbles it to the ground, levels it with the dust. It is trampled underfoot by the needy, by the footsteps of the poor.

Ps 118:1.8-9.19-21.25-27.
Give thanks to the LORD, who is good, whose love endures forever. Better to take refuge in the LORD than to put one's trust in mortals. Better to take refuge in the LORD than to put one's trust in princes. Open the gates of victory; I will enter and thank the LORD. This is the LORD'S own gate, where the victors enter. I thank you for you answered me; you have been my savior. LORD, grant salvation! LORD, grant good fortune! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. We bless you from the LORD'S house. The LORD is God and has given us light. Join in procession with leafy branches up to the horns of the altar.

Mt 7:21.24-27.
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined."

Commentary of the day

Vatican Council II Dogmatic Constitution on the Church in the modern world «Gaudium et spes », § 93

"Doing the will of my Father"

Mindful of the Lord's saying: "by this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35), Christians cannot yearn for anything more ardently than to serve the men of the modern world with mounting generosity and success. Therefore, by holding faithfully to the Gospel and benefiting from its resources, by joining with every man who loves and practices justice, Christians have shouldered a gigantic task for fulfillment in this world, a task concerning which they must give a reckoning to Him who will judge every man on the last of days. Not everyone who cries, "Lord, Lord," will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but those who do the Father's will by taking a strong grip on the work at hand. Now, the Father wills that in all men we recognize Christ our brother and love Him effectively, in word and in deed. By thus giving witness to the truth, we will share with others the mystery of the heavenly Father's love. As a consequence, men throughout the world will be aroused to a lively hope-the gift of the Holy Spirit-that some day at last they will be caught up in peace and utter happiness in that fatherland radiant with the glory of the Lord. Now to Him who is able to accomplish all things in a measure far beyond what we ask or conceive, in keeping with the power that is at work in us-to Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus, down through all the ages of time without end. Amen. (Eph. 3:20-21).

Rapist's New Trick

Know what money you are carrying... You will see why as you read.

Be sure every woman is aware of this method of operating... Share it with those you love. Know what money you are carrying. This was the first I have heard of a scheme like this. Be safe! Something very serious to pay attention to.

Criminals are coming up with craftier, less threatening methods of attack, so we have to be extra cautious.

Read on about the author who lives in Alexandria, VA.

I live in Alexandria , VA , but I often work in Lafayette , LA , staying with friend s when I'm there.. As you know from America 's Most Wanted TV program, as well as the news media, there is a serial killer in the Lafayette area. I just want to let you know about an "incident" that happened to me a few weeks ago, and could have been deadly.

At first I didn't go to the police or anyone with it because I didn't realize how serious this encounter was. But since I work in a jail and I told a few people about it, it wasn't long before I was paraded into Internal Affairs to tell them my story. It was approximately 5:15 a.m. In Opelousas, La. I had stayed with a friend there and was on my way to work.

I stopped at the Exxon/Blimpie Pie station to get gas. I got $10 gas and a Diet Coke. I took into the store two $5 bills and one $1 bill (just enough to get my stuff). As I pulled away from the store, a man approached my truck from the back side of the store (an unlit area).

He was an "approachable-looking" man (clean cut, clean shaven, dressed well, etc). He walked up to my window and knocked. Since I'm very paranoid and 'always looking for the rapist or killer,' I didn't open the window.

I just asked what he wanted. He raised a $5 bill to my window and said, "You dropped this." Since I knew I had gone into the store with a certain amount of money, I knew I didn't drop it.

When I told him it wasn't mine, he began hitting the window and door, screaming at me to open my door, and insisting that I had dropped the money! At that point, I just drove away as fast as I could.

After talking to the Internal Affairs Department and describing the man I saw, and the way he escalated from calm and polite to angry and volatile ... it was determined that I could have possibly encountered the serial killer myself.

Up to this point, it had been unclear as to how he had gained access to his victims, since there has been no evidence of forced entry into victim's homes, cars, etc. And the fact that he has been attacking in the daytime, when women are less likely to have their guard up, means he is pretty BOLD

So think about it...what gesture is nicer than returning money to someone that dropped it?????

How many times would you have opened your window (or door) to get your money and say thank you ...

Because if the person is kind enough to return something to you, then he can't really be a threat ..... can he????

Please be cautious! This might not have been the serial killer... But anyone that gets that angry over someone not accepting money from them can't have honorable intentions The most important thing to note is that his reaction was NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! A total surprise! But what might have happened if I had opened my door? I shudder to think!

P.S. Ladies, really DO for ward this to EVERYONE you know. Even if this man wasn't a serial killer, he looked nice, he seemed polite, he was apparently doing an act of kindness, but HE WAS NOT A NICE PERSON!

Prayer for Rudy Cinco

Submitted by Francis

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

We are asking you to include in your prayers a dear childhood friend Rudy Cinco who was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago. He is now having radiation treatments due to the appearance of lymph nodes on his body and is now confined at the Las Vegas Summerlin hospital because of a blood clot infection on his right leg.

Dear Lord,

You bore our sufferings and carried our sorrows in order to show us clearly the value of human weakness and patience. I now turn to you to ask you to heal the soul and body of Rudy Cinco

I know, Lord, that sin tears away relationships between people and you. But there is no illness and no wound that you cannot heal. Come and touch Rudy where he is most wounded and afflicted.

I believe in your healing power and I trust and hope that you will hear my request for my sick brother Rudy. If it is your will, however that Rudy should carry this cross of illness, then I humbly pray that you give him the strength and perseverance to bear his cross with love.

Grant, that he, and all those who are now weighed down with pain and other afflictions may now realize that they are among the chosen ones whom you call blessed.

Help Rudy to understand that he is united with you in your sufferings for the salvation of the world.

Amen.

A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of kindness and got in the car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman. As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station. She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath.. Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her.

This drug is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them. This drug is four times dangerous than the date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards. So take heed and make sure you don't accept cards at any given time you are alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services.

PLEASE SEND THIS E-MAIL ALERT TO EVERY FEMALE YOU KNOW!!!!

HiNi prevention

From: Dr. Vinay Goyal an
MBBS,DRM,DNB (Intensivist and Thyroid specialist) having clinical experience of over 20 years. He has worked in institutions like Hinduja Hospital , Bombay Hospital , Saifee Hospital , Tata Memorial etc.. Presently, he is heading our Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre, Malad (W).

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3.*Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

Hi All,

As some of you may know, we had a pretty scary incident recently. Attached are pictures of what remains of our 2007 Suburban. We are all okay but I wanted to warn everyone not to make the same mistake I did.

This fire resulted from leaving an Iphone charger/docking station plugged into the car outlet. It overheated and started a fire, while parked in our garage. PLEASE unplug anything you have in your car outlets once you turn off your car!

We were VERY fortunate that we accidentally found the fire, at 11pm, before going to bed and before it spread to the house. None of our garage heat detectors or house fire alarms went off (another item to take care of on my to do list). The boys, Jonathan and I were pretty freaked out but we're all enjoying our new car at least.
